How fun is this?  Carroll Gardens' Greenmarket now has an official tote bag.  According to Gabriella, Greenmarket's manager,  you can be one of the first lucky persons to own one.  She writes:
"For a special Father's Day promotion, we will give out 20 free bags to the first 20 market shoppers of the day. Shoppers will have to check in with the Market Manager to receive a bag. We will have special tote give-a-ways all summer long. Be sure to check facebook for more info: https://www.facebook.com/BrooklynGreenmarkets."

Also, if you have not seen it yet, you may want to take a look at the new Greenmarket Cookbook, which is available at the Carroll Gardens Greenmarket as well.
"The book is $20 and is a perfect Father's Day gift for all food enthusiasts!" says Gabriella.
(Incidentally, my son Max Kelly took the photos for this book. Hope you don't mind the shout-out from this proud mama.)

And just for your information, this week, new produce at the market include broccoli, strawberries, zucchini, garlic scapes, and squash blossoms.

Quite possibly the worst Greenmarket in NYC.

Exactly why is it the worst? It's small and some booths are too expensive, but there's a few that are good- much better than the health food store at Union that plays Jesus music all the time...

Our little market is great but not much variety compared to others in the city.

What are the Greenmarket hours? I don't see it on the FB page.
