The Art of Pho
Saturday, June 13, 2015
5 -10 PM
The Art of Pho is an emerging pop up concept dishing up bowls of tasty pho and other Vietnamese food that Chef Isabelle Nguyen grew up eating. The flavor of our pho broth comes from hours of patient simmering. Each pot is simmered for at least 24 hours with locally sourced beef bones and meats along with the best spices in the world. We also do not use MSG in our food.
Essentially, we would love to “pop up” in your neighborhood and bring wholesome and tasty Vietnamese food to you.
Isabelle Nguyen grew up in Texas and have been living in Brooklyn for almost 9 years. She has been cooking passionately for over 25 years, and spent the past two years working at Foragers Chelsea and Selamat Pagi in Greenpoint to work on presentation and hone her cooking skills.

Kimchi 101
June 17
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Kimchi 101 with chef Kala Sung is a great introduction to this traditional Korean dish. Kala will teach us how to make kimchi, about kimchi and how to eat healthy in the Korean way. We will be using local ingredients outside of the standard cabbage kimchi. Such as cucumber, radish, scallion, okra and even kale.About Kala: After obtaining a cooking degree from the Culinary Institute of America and a masters in Food Studies from NYU, Kala went back to Seoul to learn the art of the Korean royal court cuisine. Which is where her passion for kimchi deepened. Literally going back to her roots. It was not only the wonderful taste, but the strong healthy properties kimchi delivers. She continues to pursue her dreams of bringing kimchi into the mainstream American household.
Cost for the class is $25. Sign up here.
