After yesterday's blizzard and before cars were officially allowed back on the road this morning, I bundled up, grabbed my camera and took an early morning walk around Carroll Gardens and across the Gowanus Canal.
The streets were still pretty deserted and I only ran into a few people walking their dogs or shoveling their walkways. The absolute quiet and blue sky were just beautiful.
We may not have beat the snow fall record of 2006 yesterday, but for many newer New Yorkers, this is the most snow they have ever seen in the City before.  The Blizzard of 2016 sure was a pretty special event.

Hope you enjoy the photos.

Oui, Claudine. une tempête historique içi à New York et Washington. Mais nous sommes en train de dégager toute la neige et le soleil fait le reste...

Wonderful photos, Katia, especially when viewed from the warmth of our SF Bay kitchen. I trust that things are back to "normal" now, and that you and yours are well as we enter 2016. Cheers!
