Over the week-end, reader Alisa spotted a very unusual car/spaceship in the neighborhood and was kind enough to forward the photos she took of it.
She writes:
"Saw this crazy vehicle on 2nd Street between Smith and Hoyt Streets. The plates were from Montana."
Which begs the question: can you take this thing on the highway and milage does this thing get?
But most importantly...how about all those empty parking spots on 2nd Street?
Does anyone have any information on this vehicle?
According to a NYC cycling forum I'm in, this has been seen parked all over town in the past few months. Mostly in Brooklyn.
ReplyDeleteany idea who it belongs to?
ReplyDeleteWhat I find stranger is all the available parking spots.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's the leader of all the Newbies coming in style...strange looking vehicle, had anyone went up to the thing to check it out? Somebody has to know something,I wouldn't feel comfortable having that parked in front where we live.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the parking...I think that was a freak event on a Sunday morning. Rest assured, but about 1pm there were absolutely no spaces remaining. The car belongs to the brother of a resident of 2nd st. Its arrival on the block caused quite a commotion!
ReplyDeleteAnion 8:37, my hubby thought same! Lol
ReplyDeleteWhat's a Newbie?
ReplyDeleteThe car was mentioned on either redddit or gothamist recently, which explained it
ReplyDeleteAndy, if you have to ask.........
ReplyDeleteAnd now I'm also asking- what's a Newbies?
DeleteIf I have to ask, what? I assume it means new comers to the neighborhood, but I can't seem to figure out what it has to do with this car aside from a way to not so subtilely put down new comers to the neighborhood without base or reason.
