Lainie, manager of When In Rome
The corner storefront at 553 Henry Street has been home to a hair salon for a few years now. First called "Cocoro", it was renamed "When In Rome" by another owner, who ran the business until last year. Since June 2016, the salon has been managed by stylist Lainie, who has been working here for six years. (You may remember her from a previous stint at Donne Salon on Smith Street.)
Lainie would like the community to know about her new "When in Rome" and hopes for support from the neighborhood. Now that she is in charge, she has made customer satisfaction her priority by offering more personalized service.
"We appreciate all our clients and we strive to make them happy with personalized consultations to pick a hairstyle that fits with their lifestyle and facial features," she told me when I stopped by her salon this past Friday.
Besides haircuts, color and various hair treatments, "When in Rome" offers waxing and starting in the spring, will be adding manicures and pedicures.

Pedicures! Yay! I can throw in a load of laundry and get my feet pampered while it washes!
