This past Friday, about twenty of XL Catlin's New York City employees came to Carroll Park in Carroll Gardens to scrape and paint a section of the park's iron fence along Smith Street.
Dressed in yellow t-shirts listing the total number of volunteer hours donated by company employees since 2010, volunteers
The project was organized by Jill Bell, who works for the company and used to live in the neighborhood. She had reached out to Friends of Carroll Park a few months ago to plan the volunteer effort.
