Ten-Ichi, a Ramen and Poke restaurant has been operating on 7th Avenue in Park Slope since 2015. Now the eatery is expanding to Boerum Hill, taking over the former "We Olive" store at 116 Smith Street.
Ten-Ichi in Park Slope has earned some solid reviews on Yelp. The menu, which hopefully will be the same at this new location, includes wings, gyoza and shrimp tempura as appetizers. The place offers a nice selection of ramen with pork, chicken, salmon, tofu or vegetables, as well as two choices of Hawaiian poke and three types of buns.
This certainly seems to be a worthy new addition to Smith Street.  What do you think?

For those keeping track, before it was We Olive, a California franchise, this retail space was occupied by Lunetta

Will be great to have a restaurant that focuses on ramen rather than sushi. Now, if how can we get a Shanghainese restaurant to move in? There are too many empty storefronts to excuse the dearth of xiao long bao.

@Jake Zien I know right?! Where's all the Chinese food?? Do I really gotta trek down to sunset Park to get some dim sum and baos?

I think the above meant expand.
I’m
Wary of places that serve obviously hot dishes along usually cold dishes. Especially in a msmall space. In any event I agree with the comment above. I don’t eat anything vaguely chinese in this area. Still sad about 9D closing too.

What could we do to entice better Chinese food to come to the area? I think Williamsburg's M Shanghai would do really well down here in one of the bigger empty restaurant spots. Great food, low-pressure atmosphere, perfect for weeknight dinners and family hangouts.

There is a new poke place supposedly opening a couple of blocks down on Atlantic between Smith and Hoyt. It will be interesting to see if both can prosper.

I'd love to see Jason Wang do something in the neighborhood. Maybe a Xi'an Xi'an Outpost..Also Tianjin in the Golden Mall would be great..I know there were talks at some point about a brick and mortar for that stand.
