This wonderful annual event was sponsored by Douglas Elliman and organized by Marion Fiore from the agency's Carroll Gardens office.
A big thank you to Marion and to the pet rescue organizations who took part in this year's Bark Avenue Adopt-A-Thon. An even bigger thanks goes to those who adopted a new pet yesterday.

not to be a pain in the *ss, but when people have previously been criticized for allowing children to draw chalk lines on the war memorial, shouldn't we be equally critical of the dog lovers who hung up their disco dog poster on the same memorial?
i know it seems benign - but to some who are still amongst us, covering up the memorial in any manner is similar to putting a billboard at the september 11 memorial by the fountains at the world trade center, right?
