Amazon Studios TV is currently filming the second season of 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel', the incredibly entertaining period drama about a Jewish housewife who discovers her talent as a stand-up comic. Beautifully set in the early 1960's, the series is not only entertaining but also a feast for the eyes.
This coming Thursday, April 26th from 5pm to 12 am, the show will be filming in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, according to notices that have been posted on those blocks.
(Don't forget to move your car by 6 am that day, if it is parked on Smith Street from Union Street to First Place or on President Street from Hoyt Street to Court Street)

If you are like us, you are probably eagerly anticipating the second season. One wonders what brings Mrs. Maisel, played by Rachel Brosnahan, to our neighborhood.

They really screwed us over since they did not answer their phone and would not return my many calls. The Friends of Carroll Park need to secure parking for the animal vans and it made no sense to capture spots on Tuesday during alternate side parking if the cars would then be towed on Thursday. We didn't capture the spots, they didn't return calls and then they pulled all their signs and abandoned the shoot so now we will rely on the 76th precinct to locate the vehicle owners. It turns out that they didn't have a permit for this shoot so perhaps they were caught out by someone calling 311.

Does anyone know if they actually used the footage from the shoot in the show? I just finished the second season and didn't see it anywhere. I know they came back for a second day and there's video of them shooting at night on reddit.

I thought I recognized Union Street between Smith and Hoyt Streets in one of the episodes. It is the scene where Ms. Maisel is talking to her husband, who is sitting on a stoop.

yup. they shot several scenes in our neighborhood. not only the scene where joel waits for midge, but also a scene that appears in a later episode that is supposed to be the upper east side.... it’s instantly recognizable as CG (and not created through CGI)...
