Since last week, long lines have been forming in front of the one story converted garage at 459 Court Street in Carroll Gardens. F&F Pizza, the new neighborhood venture of restaurateurs Frank Falcinelli and Frank Castronovo just opened here and it has been the buzz in the neighborhood since.It seemed like a very logical move for Falcinelli and Castronovo. The two 'Franks' opened Frankies 457 Spuntino next door to the new pizza place over 15 years ago and followed up a while later with Franks Wine Bar(formerly Prime Meats) at 465 Court Street on the corner of the same block.
The Franks developed their pizza in collaboration with Chad Robertson of San Francisco's legendary bakery Tartine and James Beard Award winner Chris Bianco of Phoenix’s Pizza Bianco.
Pies are made with sauce from sustainable, organic tomatoes grown in California and the olive oil used is Frankies Spuntino Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which the Franks sell at their eateries and in local gourmet stores.
Currently, F&F offers plain, cheese or Sicilian pizza. More toppings will be added later. Though the pizzeria invites customers "to grab a slice or a pie while walking through the neighborhood", tables are available in the back garden for those who want to sit down.
F&F seems like a nice addition to Carroll Gardens. Have you been yet? How do you like the pizza?

Their EVOO is pricey. But yes a good addition especially if open in the day. I’m a Pizza Moto fan. What is a “plain”? No cheese? And what? No Margarita? Tartine is great but a weird collaboration. Money I guess.
Yes, there is a plain, no cheese pie. Just tomato sauce. The pie pictured above is their margarita.
It’s fantastic. Some of the best new pizza in NYC. Very Italian, closer to actual Roman style pizza. The plain no cheese is like a “pizza rosso” you might find in Rome. Love it.

You mean Provence en Boite? Not sure yet. Someone is working on the space currently.

Found it ok, but wow, so salty! Still, I'll give it another try.
Just ate one and I agree, their pizza is very different from what you get here, great crust and amazing sauce, but way too salty! You may want to ask them not to sprinkle parmesan on top right at the end, which they do. Almost 30 bucks and... The kids didn't event eat it! Their reviews were brutal: Not good! Too strong! Too toasted! Etc. They asked never to get pizza from there again and go back to Giardini's or Enoteca. Which I don't mind for my wallet.
Went in on opening day and couldn't find the prices printed or displayed anywhere. Walked out
I had such high expectations for this place but was extremely disapointed. The pizza is terrible. The crust is way too thin and burnt. The sauce also tasted bitter. Lucali is much better.
