See A Bag In A Tree? Tell Carroll Gardens' Plastic Bagman And He Will Get It If He Can

oo

Carroll Gardener Taylor Mali, a.k.a. the Plastic Bagman, has been going around the neighborhood snagging plastic bags out of trees with his homemade telescoping "Snatchelator" since 2018.

Those ensnarled plastic bags sometimes hang from tree limbs for months if not years, creating eyesores all over our lovely neighborhood and City. It is wonderful that Taylor has taken the initiative to remove them from our street trees.

Just recently, Taylor designed the flier below, which will make it easier for local residents to connect with him to remove a plastic bag or ballon in a tree in Carroll Gardens,  Boerum Hill, Gowanus, Red Hook and Cobble Hill. All one has to do is scan the code on the flyer, and a contact form will automatically open to indicate the address or location of the tree in question.

Taylor writes:
"The highest bag I have ever reached was about 29 1/2 feet high in a tree, but I was standing on a bench in Carroll Park."

I am sure you will all join me in thanking Taylor.  Let's all do our part to keep the neighborhood  litter (and plastic) free.
