Just recently, Brooklyn Pizza Market opened at 269 Smith Street, in the small space formerly occupied by Dasara's bar. The menu at this new pizzeria includes Margherita, Sicilian and Grandma pies with the choice of various meat and vegetable toppings, as well as a S'mores pie made with Nutella and marshmallows for those craving pizza for dessert. Brooklyn Pizza Market also offers calzones, spaghetti and meatballs, two kinds of salad, as well as garlic knots.
The eatery serves individual pizza slices for $3.50 if one wants to stop by for a quick bite, though seating is limited.
According to Seamless, Brooklyn Pizza Market delivers late into the evening at least until 12 am during the week, 2 am on Friday and Saturday, and 10 pm on Sunday.
Rumor has it that Brooklyn Pizza Market is the new venture of the now defunct South Brooklyn Pizza, which shared a space with the former Buschenschank at 320 Court Street, and before that at the shuttered P.J. Hanley's at 449-451 Court Street.
The only South Brooklyn Pizza outpost still open in the borough is on 4th Avenue, and the menu is very much the same as Brooklyn Pizza Market's.
