Where To Get Free Meals For School-Aged Kids In The Neighborhood This Summer

Though classes will end for all New York City public school students soon, the NYC Department of Education will continue to provide free breakfast and lunches every weekday for all children 18 or under from June 27th to August 30th.  No I.D. or registration necessary.

Take A Dip: Red Hook Pool Re-Opening This Week-End

I know, I know...the weather in Brooklyn as been frightful and a dip in the pool is probably the last thing anyone is thinking about. But just in case the sun returns this week-end, you may want to stop by the Red Hook pool. It is reopening this week-end.
The pool is located at 155 Bay Street between Clinton and Henry Streets.
General hours of operation are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m, and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
It will remain open through Labor Day.
