Don't Miss Last Kids Concert Of The Season In Carroll Park

It has been another incredibly successful season for the beloved Carroll Park Kids Concert Series, thanks to local mom Simmi Degnemark and her incredible team of helpers. But the fun isn't quite over yet. The final show of the season is this Sunday. Bubble Do Beatles, an indie pop band, will perform the music of the Fab Four for adults and their kids. Don't miss it.

The concert starts at 4PM. Food and fun from 2 to 5 PM

Carroll Park Kids Concert Series Kick-Off Draws A Big Crowd

Though it had threatened to rain for most of the day, the sun came out just in time for the kick-off of the fabulous Carroll Park Kids Concert Series this Sunday. Many little ones and their parents had gathered in the park to hear Audra Rox and David Weinstone of Music for Aardvarks perform their catchy tunes. Judging by the many smiles, the happy dancing and the singing along, the little ones were delighted.

This sweet children's series is organized by Carroll Gardener Simmi Degnemark and her incredibly dedicated team of mothers who make it a reality. I am sure you will join me in thanking them.

Carroll Park Kids' Concert Series Kicks Off This Week-End

Oh, I know that your little ones have been waiting for this for a very long time! The beloved Carroll Park Kids' Concert Series kicks off this Sunday with the band Bubble To Beatles.

The band will play next to the monument at 4 pm, but come to the park early for fun and foods.

The concerts are free, but a donation is kindly suggested. All proceed for the concerts will go to the Friends Of Carroll Park.

*Randy Kaplan returns to the park on Sunday, July 18th at 4 PM

*Uncle Rock will entertain the little ones on Wednesday, August 4th at 4 PM

*And Audra Rox and her band will make getting back to school sweeter on Sunday, September 19th at 4 PM. This final concert will be held in conjunction with PS 29.)

'Audra Rox' Concert Draws Huge Crowd To Carroll Park

Anyone walking past Carroll Park Wednesday afternoon must have been wondering what was happening. The park was filled with gleeful children, dancing to the wonderfully humorous songs of Audra Rox, the wildly popular band for the very young.
As Audra Tsanos lead her band through some of their classics such as "Hope My Mama Says Yes", little hands clapped and little feet tapped along to the melody.
It was impossible not to get infected by the pure joy that radiated from Carroll Gardens' youngest citizens.
The event was part of the Committee To Improve Carroll Park's Kids' Concert Series, organized by local mom extraordinaire, Simmi Degnemark and her group of dedicated volunteers.

Astrograss Brings Bluegrass To Carroll Park

Oh, what fun the littlest Carroll Gardeners had In Carroll Park on Sunday afternoon!

Rocking, swaying and be-bopping around to the fabulously danceable bluegrass music of Astrograss, the kids obviously enjoyed every minute of this season's first event in the 2009 Carroll Park Kids' Concert series.

Excitement mounted visibly as the band set up around the monument in the center of the park. Squeals of delight could be heard as the members of Astrograss tuned their instrument and ran through some last minute sound-checks.

And then...as the concert began in earnest and the band launched into its first song, many joyful kids jumped to their feet.
Some danced solo, some joined hands with a best friend. Some shy little ones preferred to watch from the safety of a parent's lap. But all enjoyed the delightfully clever lyrics and happy tunes
of Astrograss.

A big round of applause goes to the series' organizer, Simmi Degnemark of the Committee To Improve Carroll Park, who has worked so very hard to bring such joy to so many children. The
