Big Ticket Item On Carroll Street!
It had been rumored. It had been talked about in the neighborhood. But we knew better. A five million dollar Brownstone in Carroll Gardens? Ha! That's laughable. And yet, here it was. In the window of Vita Realty on Court. "IN CONTRACT." You see it above, dear reader? Of course we don't know if the seller got his asking price, but the selling price has to be a record nonetheless for this neighborhood. The question is, who is laughing now?

I hope the new owner plans on living in the building? That would be greatly welcomed. Is it possible that it is not development speculation? How much can be added onto that site? If it will be owner occupied. Let's get them signed up to save the character of their sparkling new investment in CG and try to help us stop big ugly buildings. There is so much irony in all this poeple willing to spend that much to live here and at the same time destroying what attratcted them.
