DIG IT Tree Planting Event This Saturday

oo

There are so many great events coming up this week-end, but if you really want to do something amazing and long lasting, why not help New York City plant a tree? Now that is a truly green event!

On Saturday, October 4, join New York Restoration Project (NYRP) and Trees New York to plant trees at and green two New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) developments in Brooklyn as part of Earthkeepers Dig it Day! Sponsored by Timberland and American Forests, Earthkeepers Dig it Day is all about digging in to support MillionTreesNYC.

From digging up dirt and planting trees during the day to "digging" some cool tunes at night with Stone Gossard (of Pearl Jam), The Hank Khoir and Vince Mira, join hundreds of other volunteers as we spend October 4 making this New York City neighborhood a greener and more beautiful place to live.
