SPEAK UP!
A skate park, basketball courts, soccer courts, a water feature, a playground (for what ages?), running track, green area & plantings, picnic area, a public restroom, etc? Maria Pagano, President of the Carroll Gardens Neighborhood Association added: "I look forward to hearing from all the surrounding neighborhoods. This is a good sized park and there are lots of possibilities, people just have to come to the meeting and give us their ideas. We will then make our own community wish-list with ideas from moms, dads, kids, athletes and just folks looking for a nice spot in the sun – whatever! It's going to be great." Jo Anne Simon, Democratic 52nd Assembly District leader notes: "The Downtown Brooklyn and Gowanus Canal areas are on the cutting edge. We are grateful that our local elected officials support communities coming together to plan together for open space that will help improve everyone’s quality of life."
