That's a cool pic, Katia :-)
I wanted to ask you... what does "basking" mean? I had never heard this verb before. Is the infinitive "To bask"?
Hope you don't mind me asking!
Greetings / Salut!

Hi Ferran,

Ah, basking! That is a cool verb.
One can bask in the sunshine as in enjoying the warmth
or one can
bask in glory or praise
such as in enjoying a pleasant situation.

I just read your post on the misprinted ballots here in the U.S.
Isn't that just amazing?
Who knows what other 'mistakes' will surface on election day.

That's interesting (about 'basking'). Thanks for explaining!

Yes, that thing with the ballots is quite surprising, indeed. Anyway, I just heard Colin Powell has just given his support to Obama. That's great news! :-)

I was pleasantly surprised myself when I read about his endorsement.
Maybe that is his way of redeeming himself after lying in front of the U.N. about weapons of mass destruction.
Only two weeks to go until election...

Yes, you're right. In any case, it is important what he just did.

Most Europeans are convinced Obama will win (that's also my case). I don't know if it's a realistic thing or a huge wish. How do you see it from the States?

(Forget about it if you don't like talking about politics! I just feel curious how is the issue seen from the US! :)

Dear Ferran,
The political analysts seem to think that McCain cannot close the gab between himself and Obama any more.
I remain cautiously optimistic.
If the last two elections have taught me a lesson, it is that anything can happen in the last few days.
New York City does not truly reflect the political mood of the country. NYC is firmly democratic.
It remains to be seen how the mid-West and the South vote.
I do have to say that it has been one of the more interesting presidential elections, mostly because the candidates could not be more different.
