New York City's budget cuts are going to hit our schools very hard. Therefore it will be more important than ever to support your child's PTA. The PTA of PS29 is hosting a benefit at Bocca Lupo. Now that is a sweet way of raising funds for the school! Here is the info.

A Benefit for PS 29 at Bocca Lupo
391 Henry Street at Warren Street
Tuesday, November 18th
6:00 PM -10:00 PM

This is a community-wide event for grownups, featuring great food and wine. Bocca Lupo's owner, Jeff Lederman, graciously donates his space, the food and wine. This event is open to all friends and neighbors.

PS 29's principal, Melanie Raneri Woods, received word this week from NYC schools chancellor Joel Klein that our budget for 2008-2009 will be cut, with deeper slashes expected in 2009-2010. Therefore, we rely more than ever on events like this to keep our school thriving!

There will be a great raffle during the evening, too, of two brand-new black leather John Varvatos weekend bags
