After The Snow Comes..... THE SLUSH
As much as I love snow, I kind of hate the days immediately afterward, when the white fluffy stuff takes on that nasty gray hue. And then there are the deep puddles at the curbs. The only way to make it across is by either taking a giant leap across or by stepping right in, hoping that those waterproof boots are actually...waterproof.
Not fun, right?

Found out today that rubber boots are not waterproof anymore. Wet socks suck. Am deciding whether duck tape will get them through this winter or if I'll need to buy a new pair this week. This is the cranky and slippery part of snow. But Christmas lights and snow are soooooooo pretty in our lovely neighborhood which makes all the hassles go away. Just spending time enjoying how beautiful everything is.
Yes, hate the slush. I live in Los Angeles now and, while I get wistful for a blizzard, I don't miss the slush at all. That great feeling of it seeping into your shoe...
Hi Laura,
Oh yes, that is quite a feeling...
I almost experienced it today, when one mis-step caused my right foot to slip deep into the muck.
But I am happy to report that my shoe is indeed water-proof. Thank goodness!
