****IMPORTANT REMINDER****

True to its word, the E.P.A. is keeping the Carroll Gardens/ Gowanus Canal communities informed and involved and informed about their work on the Gowanus Canal.

Back in December, Walter Mugdan, EPA Region 2 director and Christos Tsiamis, Remedial Project Manager with their entire team gave a presentation on the science and the field work which will or has already been undertaken.

The next public meeting will be held on January 21st, and will be an opportunity to hear about the many E.P.A. tools available to help the community better understand and become involved in the cleanup process for this polluted site and to
navigate through the Superfund decision-making process. Topics covered will include the formation of the Community Advisory Group (CAG), the Technical Assistance Grant (TAG) and the Technical Assistance Services (TASC) for communities

This is a very important meeting and everyone should attend.

Thursday, January 21, 2010
From 7 PM to 9 PM
in the auditorium at P.S. 32
located at
317 Hoyt Street

Only one TAG is availble and the EPA has predetermined that $50,000 will go to FROGGS.

This is another meeting to pretend that the community will be involved and informed. The EPA is moving forward with the Superfund irrelevant of how the Gowanus community feels.

5:18 are you by any chance affiliated with the GCCDC?
FROGG must be doing something right to be taken as a "threat."
I am sure that FROGG would be happy to learn that the EPA has made this decision but it isn't true. Please quit spreading lies.

And if it does got to FROGG maybe it's because they haveen't accepted money from polluters as The Gowanus Conservancy has....
