In a small shop window on DeGraw Street
adorned with red Valentine's hearts
hang fancy little white formal outfits
for Communion, christening
and dresses for mini flower girls.

So sweet sweet sweet. Reminds me of First Communion. I loved my dress and veil and intent that went along with it. Hope that the lucky kids who get to wear these beautiful clothes will remember their special days when they're all grown up.

I too loved being in my communion dress back in 1966! In fact, I still have it! Carroll Gardens used to be sight on communion day. A sea of white, and navy (for boys). Ah, how I miss those days.

How true Birdy! It is sad to see how the 'style' now is no style. Whatever happened to being well groomed?
