The week-end service cut on the F train and G train line is getting old, no?
This last week-end, Carroll Gardeners had to do without train service more time, and this coming one, buses will replace trains to the Jay Street/ Borough Hall station again.

But, you will be glad to know that work is ACTUALLY being done on the Carroll Street station. On Saturday, I spotted MTA workers , as they came out of the President and Smith Street station.
Would have hated to find out that there was no service for nothing.

The worst part of the weekend cancellations is having to transfer at the under-construction Jay St. station. Once you enter into the depths of hell via a broken escalator, you are welcomed by the sight of peeling paint and plaster chunks clinging to the ceiling above you, the toxic smells of resin and gas, and the ear-splitting vibrations of jackhammers, all the while desperately hoping the train will come. But of course you've just missed it.
Too bad they can't suspend platform construction on those cancellation weekends. Though I guess then I wouldn't be able to practice my 'Please Be Patient' exercises the MTA keeps telling me about...
