What a freaky fall we are experiencing this fall here in Brooklyn. First a tornado, then torrential rains and now this... a rather dramatic hail storm, all within three weeks of each other. Rather freaky, would you agree, dear Reader?
My friend and artist Triada Samaras must have been walking through Carroll Park in the storm and took the photos above. She writes: "What's next? Locusts? A tidal wave in the Gowanus?"
Yes, really? What is next?
Thanks for the use of your photos, Triada.

Seriously! Feels like a weather bull's eye on Brooklyn. Apparently, it's also going to be a very cold and stormy Winter.
Wouldn't surprise me. The winters have been rather mild in the last few years. We are overdue for a lond and cold one.
Better get out our wool socks.
