Hey Neighbors! Has Your Carroll Gardens Block Been Plowed Yet?

oo

IMG_7408

I am just wondering. My block has not seen one plow since the beginning of the snowstorm. And it still is not plowed this morning.

Have you fared better or has your block been neglected as well? Would love to know.

****UPDATE****
One of my readers just sent me the link to the New York City web site on which you can make a complaint about snowy roadways. Give it a try if you are frustrated at the situation. But then again, the 311 system may be even more frustrating.

Snow or Ice on Roadway Report

The City has launched a winter snow storm operation to remove snow or ice from highways, roadways and streets. Because the City is engaged in a winter storm operation, it cannot respond to individual plowing or spreading requests. Your report of a snowy or icy roadway will be collected and used to provide an overview of the storm situation.

Report a snowy or icy roadway.

Greetings from kane Street. Not only has our street NOT been plowed or salted, there are stuck cars on either end that have not been towed. This is bullshit.

Henry Street isn't plowed but that's probably because of the idiot who tried to pull out yesterday afternoon and blocked the street.

Clinton Street wasn't plowed as of 9 AM which is pretty shocking considering how many cars take that to the bridge.

President between Hoyt and Bond - NO. A car got stuck at Bond around 6PM yesterday but was moved this morning. Bond has been plowed but I don't know about Hoyt.
Bloomberg's priority seems to be the tourists and assurring that the Broadway shows, museums, and the Nutcracker are all open and the city is safe. I agree with Marty - there is something wrong here.

1st Place has not been touched. Street is walled in. My neighbor has to return a rental car, and cannot because the City has dropped the ball.

Guess what, folks. Alternate Side is in effect tomorrow. I would be we see ticket agents before we see snowplows.

Degraw, Sackett and Henry not touched a bit

Same story: idiot drivers wanted to be heros abandonned their cars sometimes in the middle of an intersection...

It always takes a few imbeciles to make a situation worst...

Hopefuly it will melt in the next 2-3 days...

Summit Street west of BQE has not been plowed, and nothing else in the area either, including Henry and Clinton. Columbia St. has seen a couple of plows but is barely passable. There is also an abandoned van on our block that has yet to be identified or moved.

President between Smith & Hoyt has not been plowed either. Two plows came up the street on Sunday afternoon with barely a few inches of snow on the ground. There's been nothing done since then, and reports now say it may be another 24 hours before these tertiary streets are cleaned. This is reminiscent of a major blizzard we had in the mid 90s when streets went unplowed for several days. Let's hope there are no emergencies requiring ambulance of FDNY responses in CG.

What's up with no mail service?

Anyone know why there's no mail service?

President between Hoyt and Bond still not plowed at 9 pm on 12/28. No mail delivery since 12/23. And Mayor Bloomberg chides us for complaining! Notice that his street is clean as a whistle. Hmmm.
