I just received a note from Sasha De La Cruz, the Public Relations Chair of Brooklyn's Women's Rugby Club," the finest legally-sanctioned sport's team" in the borough. The club is currently searching for a new head coach for this upcoming season. Below is the official job posting. Know anyone, dear Readers?
Official Job Posting:Brooklyn Women’s Rugby is currently looking for a HEAD COACH for theSpring 2011(February 1st-May 31st) season with the possibility of additionalseasons. We practice twice a week (Mon/Thurs) in the evenings andattend tournaments both local and away. Outdoor practices are held inboth Prospect Park (Monday) and Red Hook Park (Thursday) in Brooklyn.There is a coaching stipend *available*. Below are some additionalrequirements:USA Rugby Coach CertifiedExperienced coaching and/or playing at a competitive level.Attend all practices and tournaments (within reason)Maintain a positive and professional environment on the team.Help develop both team and individual skills.Design practices with both the captain and team leadership.Please contact Talia Fromm at info@brooklynwomensrugby.org if you areinterested in applying for the position.
