A Different Type Of Rush Hour

It happens quite often here in the Auvergne that one has to cede the road to cows, especially in the evening hours, when they are being led back into the stable for milking. The little country roads are simply too narrow to accommodate both at the same time.
This happened a few evenings ago, when a huge herd slowly made its way past us. They barely seemed to notice us as they trotted by.
As you can notice form the photos, the blue sky has been replaced by clouds and rain. It has cooled of so dramatically, so we have been spending a lot of time in front of the wood burning fireplace. I know, I know... That's hard for you to imagine back in New York, but I can assure you, there is no heat wave here on our hill at the moment.
