Carroll Park is proud to be a collection site for City Harvest's annual Daily News Readers Care to Feed the Hungry Drive!
Friends Of Carroll Park,the non-profit organization dedicated to improving the park for everyone, will launch its campaign to collect non-perishables the weekend before Thanksgiving. More hours of collection will be announcing soon. Please contact the group via email, Facebook, or Twitter if you would like to volunteer for a shift in their effort to fight hunger throughout New York City!
The items most needed are:
- canned fruit - canned vegetables
- peanut butter (plastic jars)
- macaroni and cheese (packaged)
- hot and cold cereal (packaged, family-sized)
City Harvest cannot accept glass containers or dented cans.
