I dropped by Farmacy on Saturday morning, for a very special book signing. Author John Khoury was dedicating copies of his newly published 'Go Sit On Your Own Stoop'. His charming childhood memoire is full of wonderful anecdotes of South Brooklyn in the 1970's and 80's, a time when the neighborhood was still inhabited by mostly working-class Italian families, where everyone knew each other, where three generations occupied shared one home and where kids were allowed to stay out and play on the stoop until dinnertime.
If you haven't read it yet, you must. To buy a copy of the book, click here.
