Friend Pearl Lau sent this funny photo of a scooter that has been decorated (or camouflaged) with greenery for the holidays. It was parked at the corner of Henry Street and Sackett Street. Pearl calls it "Motorcy-tree!"
It's been over 60 days that this post was written and over 90 days that this bike has remained untouched on the corner of Henry and Sackett street. Yet no one on the block has said anything.

On Thursday, the bike was also decorated with a parking ticket for blocking the crossing lane!
Damn. Sorry to hear.
Robert Hess of the homeless shelter has apparently died. It's not yet reported but true.
You were right, Anon. His passing was just announced.
Katia--I only come to you with the newest freshest news :) Keep up the good work. Maybe the shelter will no longer be now that he's gone.
Well, I appreciate it.
As far as the shelter, I hope that the City rethinks its relationship with people like Hess.
This bike has stood on the corner of Henry and Sackett for a month now. No one has attempted to move it.

My goodness. I wonder how many tickets it has gotten over that time. Surprised it has not been towed.
Not even a single ticket. Someone has even gone further and stuck more branch christmas trees around it. It's just parked there taking up space.
It's not a bad looking scooter. I am amazed that someone would just abandon it.
