If you have not yet heard of Atelier Ariana and its delectable baked goods, we are here to remedy that oversight.
Each week, owner and Pastry Chef Ariana Barkin offers a wonderful changing menu of flaky croissants, tarts, cookies and financiers, which customers can either pre-order a few days ahead on her web site, or buy during her bake sales, which are held on Saturdays from 11am to 3pm on Dennett Place in Carroll Gardens.
Chef Ariana received her Diplôme de Pâtisserie at Le Cordon Bleu in London and has spent the past few years in Paris to further pursue her craft. She moved to Brooklyn just recently, planning on opening a brick and mortar pastry shop, but then, of course, the Covid-19 pandemic delayed that plan. In the meantime, Ariana delights the neighborhood with her bake sales.

To pre-order and/or to stay informed about the sales, click here. or follow her on Instagram here.
I promise, you won't regret it.

I tried the cinnamon knots and the mixed berry knots last weekend and was really disappointed. They looked nothing like the photos. Both were flat, dry, and dense (overproofed? underproofed?). The mixed berry knot was so over baked that the bottom was bitter from the berry juices burning. They come in paper bags and If I had seen them I would have never have gotten them. I like being able to get baked goods in the neighborhood but I don’t think I would try this again.

I am sorry that you were disappointed. To limit contact (due to COVID-19), everything is prepackaged but I am always happy to show customers any product, as I recognize a photo does not always translate. Should you be willing to give my baked goods another chance, I would love the opportunity to win you over in the future. For any questions, comments or concerns, know that I am available at chefarianabarkin@gmail.com.
