"Pure Barre" Exercise Franchise To Take Over Space Once Occupied By "Five Guys" On Court Street

There is actually something ironic about a fitness studio taking over the space most recently occupied by a "Five Guys" burger and fries joint on Court Street
A new sign taped to the window at  266 Court Street indicates that "Pure Barre", a Denver-based exercise franchise, will be opening soon.
According to its web site, "Pure Barre is the fastest, most effective way to change the shape of your body. Using small isometric movements at the ballet barre set to motivating music, Pure Barre lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs and arms and burns fat in record breaking time."

No worries, though. For those less inclined to exercising, there are still quite a few burger options in the neighborhood.

Five Guys Burger On Court Street Getting Closer To Opening

Since the last time I check in, work has been progressing nicely at the new Five Guys Burger and Fries at 266 Court Street. Construction seems near completion. The trademark red-and-white decor is up and the kitchen equipment has been put in place. The opening can't be far off now.
Five Guys will be joining a few new burger joints in the immediate neighborhood. Moo Burger will open just blocks away on Court Street. Two8Two on Atlantic Avenue and Vinzee's in Carroll Gardens just opened.
Do you think the hamburger craze will last long enough to keep all of these places in business?

Work on Court Street's Five Guys Burger Moving Right Along

Forget those chi-chi Steak & Frites places around the neighborhood. That's so passé as the ordinary hamburger seems to be undergoing a renaissance. Two 8 Two burger just opened on Atlantic Avenue, Moo Burger is in the works on Court Street, in a space formerly occupied by a chinese take-out place, and just a few doors away, the Five Guys Burger joint at 266 Court Street is moving right along.
If hamburgers is what everyone wants, I say, by all means, let them eat burgers...
