Comment Of The Day: Ambience And Decor Gone Amiss

Bacchus has left the following comment on the post "First Diners At Café Mei Mei On Court Street":

I had dinner there on Sunday night. While the menu, food and service were nicely executed, the ambiance and decor had completely gone amiss. We couldn't help but notice the restaurant's design reflected a frozen yogurt shop with bright lighting to boot. The music selection was also odd and unfit. 90's grunge rock with a sprinkle of Johnny Cash. Not the kind of mood I'm looking for if I'm spending $18 on an appetizer. Hopefully, these kinks will work themselves out as time progresses.

First Diners At Café Mei Mei On Court Street

No, no, I did not eat at Chef Robert Ribant's new Café Mei Mei yet. Last night, I just happened to walk by the space once occupied by Jill's Café at 231 Court Street, noticed the diners inside and snapped these photos.
From Mei Mei's web site comes this description of the new eatery:

Café Mei Mei is an American café, keeping its fingers on the pulse of the seasons. With a great core menu focused on American, Seasonal and Regional fare. The Chef will be doing daily specials that will depend on the best Seasonal and Freshest ingredients.

The menu will change four times a year – winter, spring, summer and autumn. Since the chef loves seafood there will be great attention to a variety of fresh fish from local waters and around the world.

If you were one of the diners last night, could you share the details with the rest of us, please?
