After Short Break, 'Bagels By The Park' Back, With Slightly New Decor
About two weeks ago, I received a few emails from readers, who reported that "Bagels By The Park" at 323 Smith Street, a popular early morning stop for many F train riders, was closed.
Turned out that the place was only closed for vacation. But when the bagel place reopened during this last week-end, it became apparent that the place has been spruced up. The new lighting and newly exposed beams look very nice.

closed for that long to get a few new lights? it looks exactly the same ... that place prints money with all the bussiness they get a day .. no need to change it!
Add the Hand over Fist moeny they make from the Gowanus Yacht Club and it really shows they're really "Rolling In Dough"
Too bad they don't improve (or even allow use of) the restrooms at G.Y.C. Maybe the subway wouldn't smell so bad if Yacht CLub customers had a place to "P" instead of using subway stairs.
But they DO have great Bagels!
Hate to say it, but the everything bagel I got there last time, after they had re-opened, was so bad and bland that I tossed it. Maybe it was a bad batch - but I won't be going there again. And it's disgusting that they don;t have a restroom available for Gowanus Yach club, with all the beer drinking that goes on there.
