Pop-Up Repair, an itinerant repair service for 'household items of all kind' will be attending this Sunday's Carroll Gardens Greenmarket.  Bring out your broken toaster,  lamps, chairs and other stuff  to the Greenmarkets information desk at the corner of Carroll Street and Smith Street and have your item fixed instead of throwing it out.

Pop-Up Repair was founded by Sandra Goldmark and Michael Banta to "provide an alternative to the cycle of use and discard." They partner with communities, business and individuals to open short term repair shops around the country.  They also host a series of free worships which include book repair and musical instrument repair tutorials.
The pop-up shops are staffed by "theatre artisans and technicians, one of the few remaining professional  groups with the skills  to repair a wide range of objects."
Pop-Up repair will charge a very reasonable fee for extending the life of your item.
