"Is it not cruel to let our city die by degrees, stripped of all her proud monuments, until there will be nothing left of all her history and beauty to inspire our children? If they are not inspired by the past of our city, where will they find the strength to fight for her future?" Jacqueline Kennedy

Friends Of Carroll Gardens Library Hosting Huge Used Book Sale At Local Branch on Clinton Street This Saturday

Friends of the Carroll Gardens Library will be hosting a big book sale at our local branch at 396 Clinton Street on November 3rd, from 10am to 4pm. Shop for great bargains for books of all kind.
An announcement for the event states:
"The tables will be overflowing with fiction, nonfiction, children's books this Saturday 10-4, please return to the Library then and bring your neighbors, friends and family. Pizzazzz Toys has contributed Playmobil sets for a raffle. All funds are used to support activities, supplies and equipment for the Library. Have you seen the new telescope in action on Wednesday nights in front of the library? Do come to support this historic and vital resource in our community and join the Friends of the Library group."

Friend of Carroll Gardens Library is an all-volunteer group, which supports our local library branch by fundraising to make it the center of the community. Please help them in their efforts.
