What's Open, What's Not :Carroll Gardens In The Time Of Covid-19

Good morning on this rainy Tuesday. Happy St. Patrick's Day to all.
I am slowly getting used to the idea that I will be spending the next few weeks in my house.
For those who absolutely have to go out, I will update and post information provided by readers and businesses in the area on who is open in Carroll Gardens and who is not so that we can all minimize the amount of time we spent outdoors while getting essentials.
Of course the information listed here can change at any moment, but I am going to try to update every day.

Reader Chance Bliss reported this yesterday:
"Mr. Beet was open [on Monday] and very well stocked with produce, fresh juices, even meals to go.
Building on Bond is closing restaurant service tonight but they stress that they will continue to offer take-out, including drinks to-go from the bar (evidently they're allowed to do that under these circumstances, as are other venues with liquor / beer / wine licenses).
Nerd Be Cool (the coffee shop on Court Street opposite Court Street Grocers) is open.

Look out for each other, everyone, help the elderly, be kind and wash your hands."

East One Coffee Roasters is doing take-away only. The restaurant is also open for take-away and delivery and their hours are 8 AM to 5 PM.
Mazzone Hardware and Paint  at 470 Court Street is not only open for business but waiving its $5 delivery charge until further notice.
The store is also stocked with cleaning and disinfectant products, though the prices have increased.
On its Facebook page, Matthew Mazzone explains:
"Due to global shortages on ALL cleaning and disinfecting products, we are seeing TREMENDOUS spikes in our costs from secondary vendors (As much as 300%!!). We are doing our best to keep prices as low as possible, however we felt it was best to have products to sell at higher retails, than to not have any product at all. Thank you for your understanding, and please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns."

Seeds of Love, the small coffee, pastry and sandwich shop at 421 Court Street will continue to stay open as long as it is allowed to.  Its menu may be limited, so the owners ask for your patience.
Monte's 451 on Carroll Street in Gowanus continues to deliver pizza, though their dining room is currently closed. From Monte's:
"Due to COVID-19 the mayor has decided to close all restaurant dining rooms starting tomorrow. We will still be offering FREE DELIVERY.
Our delivery drivers will be wearing extra gloves and switching them out after each delivery. We are also offering contactless delivery where you can request the driver leave the food in a specific location and text/call when the food has arrived.
We look forward to seeing you all when this passes.♥️ Please call 718.852.7800 for deliveries
With love Monte’s

Of course, along with all other movie theaters in New York City, our very own Cobble Hill Theatre is currently closed.

Just got back from a quick walk along several blocks on Smith Street and found some more businesses currently opened or closed.

Le French Tart Delicatessen at 360 Court Street is reportedly also open and keeping regular hours, while "offering baguettes , croissants, canelés, lots of different cheeses...and french edition of Haribo candies."

If what Mazzone’s is saying about prices being increased 300% is true, I feel for them. However, someone is gouging, even if it isn’t Mazzone’s. I’ve gotten numerous text messages requesting that we contact the city about price gouging, and I haven’t reported Mazzone’s. But the responsible thing for them to do if their prices have increased is to report it themselves, and refrain from buying and selling It if that is the case.
