All proceeds from the annual fair benefit Friends of Carroll Park, a non-profit organization that has been in existence for over 30 years. It is run entirely by volunteers. All funds received by the Committee are spent on the Park – mostly on trees and plants.
There are still some 10'x10' spots available for $35. If you would like one, call 917 574 0745 or email carrollparkfair@gmail.com with your name, phone number, and a brief description of what you'll be selling (i.e.; jewelry, records, household miscellany).

The Park Slope Singers Invite To A Choir Concert at St. Paul's Episcopal Church In Carroll Gardens
From Park Slope Singers:
"The Park Slope Singers present a vibrant afternoon of music with two classic masterworks: Mozart's Requiem and Schubert's Mass in G. Both pieces have truly stood the test of time and are undoubtedly familiar to listeners around the world.
Schubert's Mass in G is a popular melodic work with soaring movements of praise and thanksgiving. Mozart's Requiem remains to this day one of the most enduring and mysterious works, as Mozart died before he finished composing it.
The concert will feature soloists Sarah Hawkey (Soprano), Kristin Gornstein (Mezzo-Soprano), Lucas Levy (Tenor) and Brian Mextorf (Bass-Baritone), as well as visiting singers from the Der Konzertchoir Niederschönhausen in Berlin. This marks the beginning of a new international partnership between the German choir and the Park Slope Singers that we hope will result in many future collaborations!"

Remembrance Sunday At St. Paul's Church In Carroll Gardens To Mark Armistice Day

This Sunday, November 11 at 11:00am, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 199 Carroll Street in Carroll Gardens is commemorating the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day with a special service.
"Please plan to join us for this special service, a requiem mass in honor of all those who died in wartime. The original Remembrance Day (sometimes still called Armistice Day) was instituted at the end of World War I, at 11:00 am, on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918. Remembrance Sunday this year is particularly significant and poignant because it is exactly the centennial, down to the 11:00 am starting time. We will begin our service as they did 100 years ago with two minutes of silence. Please plan to join us and invite your friends and neighbors to the special celebration."
"American composers and American poets, including music by Elliot Carter, William Schuman, Aaron Copland, Robert Applebaum, Eric Whitacre, and Elliot Levine, as well as a world premiere by New York composer Susan Kander, featuring the poetry of William Carlos Williams. Other poets on the program include Emily Dickinson, Marianne Moore, Walt Whitman, Genevieve Taggard, Langston Hughes, and e.e. cummings."
General Admission $20 online, $25 at the door. Student tickets $15 at the door only.
